Friday the 13th!!

Every Friday the 13th we get dozens of calls about tattoo specials and I always tell 'em, "Call True Tattoo in Hollywood, they're having a big 24hr event with a bunch of designs to choose from," and that's still your best bet. BUT, if you're feeling a little adventurous, I painted a sheet of the most undesirable designs I could think of for this Friday, so let's see if anyone comes in and proves me wrong.

If Sanchez ever gets off his brown butt and finishes his sheet there'll be twice as many designs, but don't hold your breath.

New Work

Here's a handful of new tattoos, even a few healed ones. The Native girl is on Devon. I can't find the  picture I took of the Grimshaw kewpie riding a bird so this outtake will have to do for now. Thanks for checking in, more to come soon.

Tattoo Snob

The good folks over at Tattoo Snob were nice enough to post a picture of mine. If you haven't checked out their blog you're missing some great work; lots of nice tattoos and some cool traditional pieces scattered in there as well. I was going to watermark this screen grab and make it a three-peat, but that felt like overkill. Also, I'm not giving a dime to that crook Pat Riley.

NEW JAMS

No rhyme or reason here, just a grab bag of tattoos that I'm putting up. This arrowhead was a pleasant surprise, she came in as a walk-in first thing when we opened.

This lantern was a a fun project. Memorials can get weird, but I think we made it into something nice... and you can't go wrong with The Smiths!

I tattoos lots of walk-ins, this rose is on the bigger side of the scale. The best part was when I said, "You can go show this to your boyfriend before I put a patch on it," and quite loudly she responded, "He's not my boyfriend!" I'm glad I didn't have to catch a ride home with those two lovebirds.

I did this Sailor Jerry partners tattoo on Kevin a while back but never got around to posting it. I could do these designs everyday and be smiling the whole time. There's nothing quite as fun as getting to tap into the history of tattooing by retracing the steps of a legend like Sailor Jerry, and that's how it feels every time I tattoo one of his drawings.

I did this Sailor Jerry indian girl head on Chris. We broke it into two sittings, I definitely prefer to work that way, you can get so much more more depth and detail. We're supposed to add some roses around her sooner or later.

STICKERS!!

After years of talking about it and never doing it, I finally got some stickers printed up. I got them through stickerguy.com, they have a killer low minimum (250 stickers) so you don't have to sit on a giant box of stickers forever. If you're in Silver Lake stop by a grab a few, once they're gone it'll be a completely different design.

Walk-Ins and Familiar Faces

Sean came by and got this arm wrapped in a snake, a cool surprise for sure. The design is from an unsigned sheet of snake flash, lot's of good stuff on there. I had an opportunity to get a healed picture of this Milton Zeiss cowgirl as well. I don't have a lot of healed photos so it was nice to get this one.

I did this keyhole as a walk-in on Sierra from San Diego. I forgot to put the CF card in the camera and didn't get a picture! Luckily, she was nice enough to stop back the next day. Thanks again.

If the photo seems small, keep in mind it's actually larger than life size: that's a wrist.
